This review concerns the use of chemicals divided from plants to gently restrain the excess inflammation that characterises many diseases including COVID, Alzheimer’s, Diabetes etc. These materials are generally not as powerful as man-made pharmacological agents and do not suppress overall immune function which is obviously needed. Furthermore, phytochemicals tend to have less substantial side-effects.
