NASA has announced a goal of sending astronauts to Mars by 2025. Such a mission is estimated to take two to three years, resulting in prolonged exposure of astronauts to the hazards of space travel. This review summarizes research on hazards of space travel to reproductive function of women and men, focusing on space radiation, microgravity and hypergravity.
